Daslakshan day 1
Daslakshan (the ten great virtues) are observed during the Das Lakshan Mahaparva. Day 1 is focused on Uttam Kshama (supreme forgiveness).
What Day 1 teaches (arth) in simple words
- The main idea is to practice forgiveness for all beings, letting go of anger, resentment, and hurt.
- By forgiving others, we purify the mind and reduce the heat of negative emotions.
- This sets the foundation for a calm, compassionate life and helps us move toward spiritual progress.
How it is usually practiced
- Acknowledge any hurt or anger you feel toward others and resolve to forgive.
- Wish well for all beings, and seek forgiveness for any faults you may have caused, knowingly or unknowingly.
- Cultivate a habit of responding with patience and pardon instead of reacting with anger.
