In Jainism, there have been 24 Tirthankaras. Mahavira is the 24th and, according to traditional texts, the last Tirthankar of the current half-cycle. There is no fixed or known date for the birth of a future Tirthankar. The next Tirthankar is said to be born in a future cosmic cycle, but exact timing is not specified in Jain scriptures.
