Samvatsari Day, the culmination of the eight-day Paryushan Parva, was observed on 27 August 2025 (Wednesday). Also called International Forgiveness Day, it stands as one of the holiest and most important days in the Jain calendar.

Paryushan Parva is a yearly period for introspection, reflection, and atonement, guiding us to purify the soul through repentance, restraint, and spiritual discipline. On Samvatsari, Jains seek forgiveness from all living beings for any harm caused—deliberate or unintended—and renew their commitment to non-violence, truth, and right conduct.
