Who is Acharya mahashraman
Acharya Mahashraman is the eleventh Acharya (spiritual head) of the Shvetambar Terapanth Jain order. He was born as Mohanlal on 13 May 1962 in Sardarshahar, Rajasthan, and was initiated as a monk in 1974. He was appointed as the 11th Acharya on 23 May 2010, after the passing of Acharya Mahapragya. He leads Terapanth activities such as the Anuvrat movement, Preksha Meditation, and the Jeevan Vigyan (Science of Living), and has guided large campaigns like the Ahimsa Yatra promoting nonviolence and moral living. In Terapanth, the Acharya is the central spiritual authority; within Digambar traditions, leadership is organized differently and there are multiple lineages, so the title “Acharya” is not universal across all Jain groups.
