Day 2 of Das Lakshan is Uttam Mardava, which means supreme humility.

    What it means for kids:

    • Try not to brag about yourself or think you are better than others.
    • Remember that everyone is equal and has good qualities too.
    • If you make a mistake or hurt someone, apologize and try to make it right.
    • Listen to others carefully and act kindly, even to people who are different from you.

Simple story you can tell them:

    • Imagine you have a coin. If you flip it, heads or tails, it’s still just a coin. Uttam Mardava is like treating every person you meet as equally important, not keeping score about who is smarter or faster, and choosing to be gentle and respectful instead.

Why this matters in daily life:

    • Humility helps us learn better, makes friends feel safe, and keeps us from hurting others with pride.
    • When you stay humble, you’re more willing to learn from mistakes and help others.

Reference (for parents): Day 2 is Uttam Mardava (Supreme Humility) in the Das Lakshan Parva. You can read more here
