Rushabhdev (Rishabhanatha) is said to have taught 72 arts to men and 64 crafts to women. His daughters Brahmi and Sundari were associated with language scripts and mathematics, respectively. This division is found in Jain traditions and is part of the story of his establishing social and artistic know-how for society.
