Meaning of sanghyan
Sanghyan (Saṃghayaṇa) is a Jain term used in a technical list of 24 Daṇḍakas (bodily characteristics) in Jain literature. Saṃghayaṇa specifically means the “joining of the bones” in a being (god, man, or animal). It is about physical morphology described in certain Jain physiological schemata, not a practice or ritual. This term is part of Jain cosmology and is not commonly used in day‑to‑day worship. There isn’t a separate Digambar–Shvetambar difference for this term; it is a technical description found in Jain texts.
