In Jainism, there is no creator of the universe. The cosmos is considered beginningless and self-sustaining. Everything in the universe (jiva souls and ajiva matter) operates according to natural laws and karmic processes, not because some god or creator willed it into existence. Jain texts emphasize that the world has always existed and will continue to exist, governed by its own inherent order. The role of enlightened beings (Tirthankaras) is to show the path to liberation, not to create the universe.
