The mere observation of the idol gives one an idea of it antiquity. The idol is believed to be of the 8th Vikram period. The antiquity of the idol also makes it evident that this place once upon a time must have been a very prosperous and affluent one, where numerous wealthy Jain householder families lived. At first the idol was somewhere else and later it was once again ceremonially installed in this newly constructed present temple. The main characteristics of this shrine is the antiquity and artistry of its idol. Every year on Posh Krishna 10 a festival is held here when mere sight of the idol reminds one of Sri Kulpakji, Sri Antarikshji, Sri Bhandakji, Sri Darbhavati etc., A vivid scene of Sri Dharmendra Dev himself appearing physically in person and holding a protective umbrella by spreading his hood over the head of the Lord is instantly erected before one’s eyes. The artist has completely dedicated himself in the creation of this unusually magnificent idol which is different to be found anywhere else. In this temple there is one more idol of Sri Parshva Prabhu which is ancient and beautiful. There is no other temple in the area nearby.
