This temple houses a white-colored idol of Naagfana Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture, with an umbrella featuring seven hoods over the idol's head. The idol itself is 15" tall, including the hood.
The tirth is located in Vihar village, situated along the Vijapur-Mehsana road. Another temple dedicated to Naagfana Parshvanath can be found in the Aravalli hills.
In terms of historical significance, the present-day Vihar village was established in place of an ancient village that had been buried underground. It is believed that the idol of Naagfana Parshvanath dates back to the period of V.S. 1873. The Jain community constructed this temple in V.S. 1986, and the idol was ceremonially installed on Basant Panchmi day. The name "Naagfana Parshvanath" originates from a tale where Dharnendra Dev extended his hoods over the head of Parshvanath Bhagwan to protect him from the rain.
For those planning to visit, the temple is located in Vihar village, accessible from the Vijapur-Mehsana road. The nearest town is Vijapur, and the village has a population of 4,000. An Upashraya is also present within the village to accommodate visitors and pilgrims.
