Navkar Mantra and its Benefits

The Navkar Mantra is a sacred and timeless mantra in Jainism. It is the Namokar Mahamantra, which does not address a specific deity or saint.

The Navkar Mantra is a universal mantra used to seek blessings from all deities, sages, and saints. It doesn't focus on any individual but rather guides one to experience and contemplate the pure and evolving form of the soul. This is why it's considered an eternal and infinite mantra.

The origin of the Navkar Mantra lies within Jainism. This mantra was prevalent during the rule of Lord Mahavir, a Jain Tirthankara. The Navkar Mahamantra is both beginning and endless; it was not created by anyone and will endure for eternity. It also reflects the names of the Supreme Being and is regarded as one of the holiest mantras in Jainism.

This mantra seeks the blessings of enlightened souls who remind people of their ultimate goal or Nirvana. Therefore, regular recitation of this mantra is recommended.

The ultimate purpose of the Navkar Mantra is to attain spiritual wealth, not material gain. Therefore, chanting the Navkar Mantra without any greed is essential.

Always seek the welfare of all living beings on Earth and pray for spiritual guidance from the spiritually evolved beings to show you the path to liberation.
