Sacred Site: Located in the city of Ujjain, this temple, with roots tracing back 2,300 years, cradles the divine presence of Bhagwan Avanti Parshwanath. In antiquity, the city bore names like Avantika Puskarandini and Vishala, serving as the capital of Malwa. Renamed Ujjain during King Sudhanva's reign, it garnered historical significance under the rule of King Samprati. This illustrious king, under the guidance of Acharya Aryasuhastisuri, contributed significantly to Jainism, erecting numerous temples and installing millions of Jain Thirthankara idols. Ujjain's prominence further grew as the birthplace of King Samprati and the site of Bhadra Sethani's vahanshala, where transformative events unfolded. The devout Avanti Sukumar, stirred by the divine chants of monks, underwent a profound transformation, leading to his Diksha and eventual Santhara. His son, Mahakal, honored his father's memory by constructing the splendid Mahakal Chaitya, installing the idol of Bhagwan Parshwanath, referred to as Avanti Parshwanath.
Other Temples: The temple complex boasts 32 temples, with five of them standing as grand structures. Among them, the ancient Adinath temple in Ujjain holds historical significance, serving as the site where Shripal and Mainasundari found solace and healing through worship and Navapad Oli. Additionally, a newly constructed temple of Manibhadra Veer graces the premises, alongside the Dadawadi opposite the Avanti Parshwanath temple.
