Story of Girua Parshwanath Bhagwan

In the heart of Amalner city, a remarkable shrine stands, housing a nearly 29 cm high, black-colored idol of Bhagwan Girua Parshwanath, seated in the serene Padmasana posture beneath an exquisite umbrella adorned with 11 hoods. The historical tapestry of this Tirth illustrates the profound connection between material pursuits and spiritual devotion. The Girua Parshwanath idol, venerable for five centuries, found its sanctuary in a temple erected by Shri Sangha around the year 1920 of the Vikram era.

In the year 2007 of the Vikram era, the temple underwent a transformative renovation under the guidance of the revered Acharyadev Vijay Yashodevsurishvarji. This sagacious leader, a disciple of Acharyadev Vijay Premsurishvarji, is renowned as the dedicated practitioner of the "Namaskar Mahamantra," engaging in a 36 crore jaap. The installation of the idol in the splendid pinnacled temple marked a significant chapter in the spiritual narrative, with the original hood replaced by eleven new ones.

The Mulnayak of this sacred abode is Shri Shamaliya Parshwanath, while the Girua Parshwanath idol graces the first floor as the primary deity. The temple complex encompasses three additional shrines and two temples within residential spaces. The sanctuaries, adorned with sculptured artistry and the captivating new hood resembling a peacock's grace, evoke deep spiritual sentiments, kindling the flame of devotion in the hearts of worshippers.

This divine haven, nestled on the Surat-Bhusaval railway line, stands merely 2 kms away from the central railway station in Amalner. Accessible through bus services and private vehicles, it is situated 55 kms from Jalgaon and 29 kms from Dhulia. Pilgrims find solace in the Dharamshala and Bhojanshala facilities, complemented by three Upashrayas, an Ayambilshala, and a well-established Gyanbhandar. The sacred scriptures, including "Shri 108 Parshwanath Stavan" and "108 Naamgarbhit Shri Parshwanath Stavan," resonate with mentions of Girua Parshwanath.

This sacred abode has been graced by the presence of illustrious Acharyas, such as Acharya Vijay Premsurishvarji, Acharya Vijay Ramchandrasurishvarji, Acharya Vijay Yogdevsurishvarji, and Acharya Vijay Trilochansurishvarji.
