The Mulnayak, revered as Shantinath Bhagwan, graces the sanctum with divine presence. A pristine, approximately 33 cm high, white-colored idol of Lord Vimal Parshwanath, seated in the Padmasana posture with an umbrella adorned by 7 hoods, stands beside the idol of Shantinath Bhagwan.
Tirth: Nestled in Shravak ka Mohalla in the outskirts of Chhani in Vadodara city, this sacred pilgrimage site emanates spiritual tranquility.
Historicity: Chhani, once known as Chhayapuri, stood adjacent to the ancient cities of Darbhavati and Vatpadra. Historical records from the Vikram era of 1821 unveil the existence of five splendid temples in Chhani, which, over time, succumbed to dilapidation. The present temple is believed to be a renovation of these ancient structures. In V.S. 1893, the enchanting idol of Shri Vimal Parshwanath found its abode in the temple of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan. Subsequently, in V.S. 2020, the idol of Shri Mahaveer Bhagwan was consecrated. A temple dedicated to Shri Kuntunath Bhagwan was erected in Kothari Falia by Seth Babulal Shivlal in V.S. 1944.
Chhani, previously a military camp, earned its name due to its association with the Chhavani. The city boasts a deeply religious populace, with at least one member from every Jain family having undertaken the sacred "Diksha," a matter of pride for Chhani residents. More than 125 individuals from Chhani have embraced asceticism, exemplifying their unwavering commitment to Jain principles. The city's eminence was further underscored when Shri Sayajirao Gaekwad, the king of Vadodara, bestowed the title "Diksha ki Khan" upon it, showcasing its esteemed stature. Chhani holds the distinction of being the birthplace of revered Acharyas such as Acharyadev Shri Kamalsurishvarji, Acharyadev Shrimad Vijay Bhuvantilaksurishvarji, Acharyadev Shrimad Vijay Vikramsurishvarji, Acharyadev Shrimad Vijay Navinsurishvarji, and Acharyadev Shrimad Vijay Bhadrankarsurishvarji.

Scripture: The name of Chhayapur Parshwanath finds mention in "365 Shri Parshva Jin Naammala," composed in the year 1655 of the Vikram era by Shri Premvijayji. It is conjectured that Chhatrapur Parshwanath is synonymous with Vimal Parshwanath.
