In his previous life Padmaprabhu Swami was Maharaj Aparajit who ruled over Susima town in the Purvavideh region. He was simple and very religious person. He got attached after listening to the discourse of an Arihant and took Diksha from Acharya Pihitashrava. As time passed he got engaged in long spiritual practices and earned Trithankar-nama-gotra-karma. Completing his age, he reincarnated as a god in the his next life.
In his next life he got descended into the womb of queen Susima, wife of the king of Kaushambi. One day, queen Susima had a desire to sleep on a be of lotus flowers. As this was a desire of a pregnant mother of a Tirthanakar, the gods made arrangements for its fulfillment. On twelfth day of the waning fortnight of the month of Kartik(according to Jain Calender), the queen gave birth to a son. The boy had a soft pink glow like lotus flower. The king named him as "Padmaprabha" (meaning one with lotus glow).
As time passed, the prince became young and was married. When his father descended the throne and left for spiritual practices, Padmaprabh ascended the throne. He ruled the kingdom for a long time and their was complete peace in the region.Then one day with threefold knowledge he knew that its the moment, he should become an ascetic. He attained diksha on 13th day of the dark half of the month of Kartik (according to Jain calender) along with 1000 other men.After 6 months of diksha, on the full moon day (15th day) of the month of Chaitra(according to Jain calender) he attained Keval Gyan under banyan tree.
After a long time, Bhagavan Padmaprabh wandered around and at last visited Sammetshikhar and attained Nirvana on the eleventh day of the dark half of the month of Margshirsh(according to Jain calender).
