Suparshvanath is our Seventh Tirthankar, in his earlier life he was King Nandisen of Kshetrapuri region. He was highly spiritually and use to meditate a lot and wasn't impressed by luxury which was provided to him as a king. Due to his rigorous practices and disciplines he was reborn as a Tirthankar in his next life. His soul was asscended to the womb of Queen Prithvi Devi, wife of king Pratishthasen of Varanasi. At that time its been said that the kingdom was in danger as the neighbouring kingdoms were ready to attack their kingdom. But as the child was in the womb suddenly the attitude of the neighbouring kings changed and they raised their hands ahead to King Pratishthasen for friendship, due to this there was peace spread in the kingdom. There were positive vibrations spread everywhere. King realised it is the impact of divine soul inside the womb of his wife. Prithvi Devi also received 14 auspecious dreams which every Thirthankar's mother receive.

On the twelfth day of the Jyeshta Shukla paksh of Visakha month(according to Jainism) Queen Prithvi devi gave birth to a son. There was love, peace and fraternity spread everywhere. Since the enemies (Parsh) who wanted to attack their kingdom and now became friends (Suparsh), the King named the child as Suparshva. As time passed, Suparshva grew up and they got him married. Later King Pratishthasen decided to handover his kingdom to Suparshva and decided to go ahead to forest to meditate and do spiritual activites. After his father, Suparshva ruled the kingdom for many years and their was peace and everyone was happy in his kingdom.

And one day he noticed the falling of the leaves and the wilting of the flowers and  he came to know the feeling of detachment. He saw all his past lives and hence then he realised the  purpose of his present life. He then decided to leave the Kingdom and to become an Ascetism. He meditated and after rigorous spiritual practices on the sixth day of the dark half of the month of Phalgun(according to Jainism Calender) he achieved Omniscience.

He then began teaching to his followers the principles of Jain philosophy, of renunciation and Right action, Right Knowledge and Right Conduct. His love and compassion engulfed all and thousands of people who came into contact with him began to follow his way of living life. Finally after many years of preaching, he then attained Nirvana on the seventh day of the bright half of the month of Phalgun(according to Jain Calender) at mountain of Sammed Shikar. His teachings spread far and then he became our Seventh Thirthankar. He is associated with Swastik emblem.
