Which gyan panchami Vidhi I can do in periods? And how?
Gyan Panchami Vidhi is traditionally observed on Kartik Shukla Panchami (the fifth day of the bright half of Kartik). In many Jain communities, menstruation (periods) is treated with certain traditional restrictions, and the exact practice may differ between Digambar and Śvetāmbara households. If you are menstruating, you can still honor knowledge and the spirit of Gyan Panchami by adapting the ritual in a way that respects your family or sangh guidelines—for example by keeping the sacred book on a raised platform and performing reverent offerings and prayer without handling the book directly or participating in activities that your tradition restricts during a period. The core idea remains: reverence for knowledge (gyan) and its study.
