Pamecha Oswal is a gotra (lineage) within the Oswal Jain community. In this context, gotras are social/clan identifiers used mainly to guide exogamy (marrying outside one’s own gotra) and to understand family lineage. Pamecha has sub-gotras such as Kuwar, Harkhawat, and Shah. The Kuldevi for many Pamecha families is Jagat Bhawaani Shree Ambe Mata. This is part of the Oswal/Jain traditional lineage system and is not a doctrine of Jain spiritual practice.
