In Jain tradition, the commonly accepted Uvasaggaharam Sutra has 5 gāthā (verses) in its regular prayer form, especially in the Śvetāmbara Navsmaran path.

• Main/practical recitation today: 4–5 gāthā are usually printed and chanted.
• Some extended versions: A few books/traditions use 7 gāthā or add extra lines around it.
• Very old references/legends: say the original composition had many more verses, which were reduced over time.
