What are the things which an abhavya soul can never get or become
In Jainism, an abhavya jiva (abhavya soul) is that soul which will never attain moksha because it will never get true samyak darshan (right faith).
Because of this, there are several spiritual things an abhavya soul can never get or become:
- Can never attain Samyak Darshan
- True, permanent right faith in the real nature of soul, tattvas, and Tirthankars never arises in an abhavya jiva. - This is the root point – because without samyak darshan, the path to moksha cannot even begin.
- Can never attain Moksha (Liberation)
- Since samyak darshan never comes, the full trio of Right Faith – Right Knowledge – Right Conduct (Ratnatraya) never arises. - Therefore, karmas are never completely destroyed, and the soul never becomes Siddha. - It will keep wandering in saṁsāra (birth–death) forever.
- Can never become Kevali (Omniscient)
- Keval jnani / Arihant arises only after very high spiritual purification and destruction of major karmas. - An abhavya soul never reaches those gunasthans (spiritual stages), so it never becomes Kevali, never attains keval jnan.
- Can never become Tirthankar
- A Tirthankar is a special type of Kevali with Tirthankar-nam-karma and supreme purity. - Because an abhavya soul cannot even become ordinary Kevali, it definitely cannot become a Tirthankar.
- Can never become Siddha (Liberated Soul)
- Final state of the soul – free from all karma, dwelling at Siddhashila. - For an abhavya soul, this state never comes at any time, in any era.

What can an abhavya soul still get?
To avoid misunderstanding:
- It can get heavenly births, human births, animal, or hell births.
- It can do dāna (charity), tap (austerities), shravak / monk-like practices externally, etc.
- It can enjoy worldly pleasures and suffer pains according to karma.
But all this remains only within saṁsāra. It never crosses the boundary towards true liberation because true samyak darshan never arises.

Digambar & Shvetambar view
- Both traditions accept the same core point:
Also, both say:
- Only a Kevali truly knows which soul is bhavya or abhavya.
- Ordinary people should never label anyone as abhavya; we must always live and strive as bhavya, capable of moksha.
