So even if there is little faith in moksh, that jeev even though in mithatva can be considered a bhavi jeev? 2. How does an abhavi jeev feel about moksh?

    1. Mithyātva + “little faith” + bhavya or abhavya?
    • Bhavya = that jīv which has the capacity to one day get samyak-darshan and moksh.
    • Abhavya = that jīv which will never get samyak-darshan and therefore never attain moksh.

    Two important points:

    1. Bhavyatva is about future capacity, not present state.

A jīv can be: - Right now in mithyātva (wrong belief), - With very weak or confused “faith” in moksh, - Yet still be bhavya, if at some time in the future true samyak-darshan will arise.

    1. Mithyātva itself does not prove abhavyatva.

    - Many bhavya jīvs wander for countless births in deep mithyātva. - Their present mind may be: “I am not much interested, I doubt all this…” - But, if their nature is such that one day they will truly accept tattvas and desire moksh, they are bhavya.

So: > “Even if there is little faith in moksh, that jīv, though in mithyātva, can still be a bhavya jīv” – Yes, if someday real samyak-darshan will arise for that soul. Only a Kevalī truly knows this; we cannot label anyone.

You can read a simple explanation of Bhavya and Abhavya here:

    ---

    1. How does an abhavya jīv feel about moksh?

From Jain darshan, in simple language:

    • An abhavya jīv:
    - Never develops true faith in moksh as the highest goal. - Never develops true desire: “I want to be free from saṁsār forever.” - May talk about “heaven”, “good birth”, “religion”, “punya”, but - inner attraction is always towards enjoyment of saṁsār, not its end. - May even: - Think moksh is useless / boring / not desirable, or - Think it is impossible, or - Be totally indifferent – no real pull of heart towards it.

    So externally, an abhavya:

    • Might do pūjā, dān, tapa, etc.
    • Might use the word “moksh” also,
    • But inside there never comes that genuine turning of the heart:
    > “Let this saṁsār finish; only pure soul-experience is my true aim.”

Because of extremely strong anantānubandhi mohanīya karma, such samyak-darshan never arises; therefore moksh never comes. More on abhavya ātmā here:

    ---

    Practical takeaway for you:

    • We cannot know who is bhavya/abhavya; only Kevalī can.
    • Jain āchāryas tell us: always assume “I am bhavya” and increase:
    - interest in tattvas, - shraddhā in moksh and Arihant-paramparā, - practice of ahiṁsā, saiyam, and reduction of passions.

Even a “little” genuine faith, if nurtured, can slowly become the cause of samyak-darshan and the path to moksh.
