How many ribs or pasliya human have in each aara
In Jain scriptures, the number of ribs (pasliyan) of human beings is not described separately for each āra (time-era).
Key points from Jain viewpoint:
- Human body across ārās
- Jain granths describe changes in height, age, strength, lifespan, moral level, bhog‑upabhog etc. in different ārās. - They do not say that the basic skeleton (like number of ribs) becomes 24 in one āra, 26 in another, etc. - So, from Jain-dharma angle, we do not have a scriptural list like “itne pasli 1st āra me, itne 2nd āra me…”
- What actually changes in different ārās
For humans, scriptures mainly talk about: - Ayushya (lifespan) – from extremely long (crores of pūrvas) in earlier ārās to very small in later ārās. - Uchhāi (height) – very tall in 1st–3rd āra, then slowly decreasing. - Bhog, sukh–dukh, dharm–adharm – happiness, comforts, and spiritual capacity. - But not detailed counts of every bone or rib.
- Therefore, answer in simple words
- Jainism does not give a different rib-count for each āra. - It only tells that body size, age, and inner purity change; the exact “kitni pasli” per āra is not a topic of our main Jain shastras.
