• The installation on Basant Panchmi made that day especially memorable for the local Jain sangh.
• The name “Naagfana Parshvanath” is linked to the famous incident where Dharnendra Dev spread his serpent hoods to protect Bhagwan Parshvanath from heavy rain.

3. Panchmi connected directly with knowledge in Jainism

If you are asking because of “festival of knowledge”, then in Jain Dharm the closer and clearer festivals are:

(a) Shrut Panchmi (mainly Digambar)

• Celebrated as the “birthday of shastras”.
• Remembers Acharya Dharasena, and his disciples Acharya Pushpadant and Acharya Bhutabali, who wrote the great text Shatkhandāgam in a cave at Girnar.
• On this day, Jains do shastra-pujan (worship of scriptures), clean granths, and take vows to study more.

(b) Gyan Panchmi / Jnan Panchami (mostly after Diwali)

• Celebrated as the “day of pure knowledge”.
• Jains worship Jnan (right knowledge) and Jain scriptures, sometimes also Saraswati / Vidyadevi as Srutadevata.
• People do pratikraman, svadhyay (study), fasting, and shastra-pujan.

So:

• Basant Panchmi itself is more a general Indian/spring/vidya festival.
• Shrut Panchmi / Gyan Panchmi are the clear, directly Jain festivals of knowledge with proper Jain stories and background.
