Where is Kapishtha swarg
In Jain Dharma, Kapishtha Swarg (Kāpiṣṭha) is not a place on Earth – it is one of the heavenly realms in the upper world (Ūrdhva Loka).
Very simply:
- Kapishtha is one of the 16 Devlok (Kalpa heavens).
- The order of these 16 is:
Where is it?
- It is in the upper part of the Jain universe (Ūrdhva Loka),
- It is a Devlok of Vaimanika devas (celestial beings living in heavenly vimans).
- Both Digambar and Shvetambar accept this cosmological position; only the spelling may differ slightly (Kapistha / Kapishtha / Kāpiṣṭha).
Remember: Even Kapishtha Swarg is still within samsar (rebirth). From a Jain viewpoint, our goal is not to go to any swarg, but to attain moksha beyond all heavens.
