In Jain Dharma, Kapishtha Swarg (Kāpiṣṭha) is not a place on Earth – it is one of the heavenly realms in the upper world (Ūrdhva Loka).

Very simply:

• Kapishtha is one of the 16 Devlok (Kalpa heavens).
• The order of these 16 is:

Saudharma, Ishana, Sanatkumara, Mahendra, Brahma, Brahmottara, Lantava, Kapishta, Shukra, Mahashukra, Shatara, Sahasrara, Anata, Pranata, Arana, Achyuta.

• So Kapistha is the 8th heaven in this list.

Where is it?

• It is in the upper part of the Jain universe (Ūrdhva Loka),

above the Middle World (Madhya Loka) where humans live.

• It is a Devlok of Vaimanika devas (celestial beings living in heavenly vimans).
• Both Digambar and Shvetambar accept this cosmological position; only the spelling may differ slightly (Kapistha / Kapishtha / Kāpiṣṭha).

Remember: Even Kapishtha Swarg is still within samsar (rebirth). From a Jain viewpoint, our goal is not to go to any swarg, but to attain moksha beyond all heavens.
