Moti shanti meaning

“Moti Shanti” is a Jain prayer (stotra / sutra) for shanti – peace and protection.

In simple words:

• “Moti” = pearl (something very precious, shreshth)
• “Shanti” = peace
• So, Moti Shanti is like a “precious / great prayer for peace”.

What it is used for:

• Chanted especially after Snatra Pooja, aarti, or big pujas
• Prayed for:

- peace in all living beings - removal of obstacles and calamities - good health, prosperity and spiritual progress

• It remembers and praises:

- Arihants, Siddhas, Acharyas, Upadhyayas, Sadhus - Tirthankars, devs, and even asks for shanti in the whole universe
