In Jainism, “samyak” (सम्यक्) means:

• right
• proper
• true/correct
• perfect (in the spiritual sense)

It is most commonly used in three very important terms:

1. Samyak Darshan – right faith / right vision
2. Samyak Jnan (Gyan) – right knowledge
3. Samyak Charitra – right conduct

These three together are called the Three Jewels (Ratnatraya) and form the core path to liberation in both Digambar and Shwetambar traditions. ( jainknowledge.com)

So whenever you see the word “samyak” before something in Jain texts, understand it as: “that quality in its right, pure, and spiritually correct form, leading the soul towards moksha.”
