In Jain diksha, the rule is about modesty and simplicity, but details differ by type of diksha and by tradition.

Very simply:

1. Bal Diksha (for children)

1. Full monastic diksha – Shvetambar tradition

1. Full monastic diksha – Digambar tradition

- The ideal final stage of a Digambar muni is sky‑clad (without clothes), but this is: - Only for adult, fully prepared males, - Reached after long training and steps, - Not for children, not for beginners, and never for women. ( jainknowledge.com)

So, a kid taking diksha is not made naked in front of people in the sense of being immodest or exposed. For children and early stages, Jain maryada (discipline) always keeps modesty and respect as a basic principle.
