Padchayo palre nahi
“Padchayo pal re nahi” is a Gujarati Jain stavan line meaning: “Do not wait even for a moment.” It reminds us that life is impermanent and time slips away very quickly, so one should not delay in practicing Dharma—namokar mantra, samayik, pratikraman, vows (vrat), and cultivating detachment (vairagya).
Essence in Jain view:
- Everything worldly is anitya (impermanent); only the soul is eternal.
- Because each moment passes, we should promptly engage in right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
- Delay increases karmic bondage; prompt practice supports inner purity.
