I ate today by 7.15 in paryushan is that fine
Short answer:
- In Paryushan, food and water should be finished before sunset. If your “7:15” was in the morning, it’s fine. If it was 7:15 pm and your local sunset was earlier, it doesn’t meet the Paryushan maryādā.
Simple guidance:
- Baseline rule (both Śvetāmbara and Digambara): no eating or drinking after sunset. Many keep chauvihār, stopping even water after sunset.
- Safer practice: finish your last bite and sip at least one antarmuhurt (about 48 minutes) before local sunset.
- If you ate after sunset by mistake: do alochanā–pratikraman today, say Michchhāmi Dukkaḍaṁ, and take pachchakkhān (a clear vow) to finish earlier tomorrow.
