Can I do 69 sex position
From the Jain Dharma point of view, it is not recommended.
- For monks and nuns: complete celibacy (brahmacharya) is mandatory; all sexual activity is prohibited.
- For lay followers: the Brahmacharya Anuvrat allows sex only with one’s spouse, with restraint and purity. Jain acharyas clearly discourage “vikrita maithuna” (perverted/unnatural acts that intensify passions), which includes oral/anal sex and practices done mainly to excite sensuality. Such acts increase kashāyas (passions), disturb equanimity, and go against the spirit of ahimsa and self‑control. Therefore, a “69” position should be avoided.
If you are striving to live by Jain vows, practice fidelity, moderation, and periods of self‑restraint, and avoid any act that inflames passions or causes harm.
