Michammi dukdam wish message
Michhami Dukkadam is the Jain greeting of apology and forgiveness used especially at the end of Paryushan (Samvatsari for Shwetambar, Kshamavani for Digambar). It literally means “may my faults be forgiven” and is a humble request for pardon from all living beings; many also add a reciprocal wish to forgive others.
Original phrase (Prakrit):
- Micchāmi Dukkaḍaṃ (मिच्छामि दुक्कड़म्)
Extended sentiment often used:
- Khamemi Savve Jiva, Savve Jiva Khamantu Me
- Mitti Me Savva Bhuesu, Veram Majjha Na Kenai
